Shopping Center / Supermarket in Talatona

Risco was invited to participate in a competition for the design of a new Shopping Center / Supermarket to be built in Talatona, Luanda, promoted by Fidequity.
The project dealt with a single building with 50.000 sqm GBA which was meant to be built in two phases: first, the construction of a supermarket with nearly 15.000 sqm. Afterwards the shopping center with the following 35.000sqm.
The challenge presented was very clear: optimize the different parameters of the program seeking for solutions that could maximize leasable areas as well as minimize the impact of the construction works in the supermarket operation during the second phase.
The project resulted in a 74% ratio between GLA/GBA and a solution where the building work impact in a second phase is practically null.
